The Service.

Currently using the PAMS model, this role is developing to look at other resources and tools to assess parents in a more holistic way. Northumberland is a family and child focused Authority, with strong and effective management and leadership (Ofsted reported!). Known for being supportive of staff and with a strong ethos for flexibility, working in Northumberland Children’s Services is like having a second family (so say our staff).

 

The role of Advanced Practitioner is to lead the way, role model good practice and offer guidance and support to the social work team in working with children and families in need and in crisis. We are looking for an experienced social worker with a passion for assessing parents in safeguarding children. This is a real opportunity to develop you social work skills further!

The Role.

Do you want to join one of our many social work teams as an Advanced Practitioner? There is an opportunity to join the developing Parenting Assessment team currently undertaking PAMS across the County, from Rural Northumberland to the Urban areas.

There is a vacancy as an Advanced Practitioner in Northumberland within the PAMS team, which is developing around the tools used in assessing parents, the role of Advanced Practitioner is also developing to support career progression and recognize the skill and experience you have.
